Our life is a series of storytelling. There is no such thing as truth, only useful lies.
I've been thinking about this since Thursday. From our discussion in class, I've learned that "truths" are socially constructed through a series storytelling. All our thoughts and ideas come from what is imposed to us by the society. The useful lies are what we believe in. We are not free in a number of ways because these useful lies determine the actions that we do and the decisions that we make. They control our lives.
Michel Foucault really makes me think beyond the box. He's such a smart guy. And he reminds me of Mini-Me. :)
