If Cars Were Like Airplanes, Then There Wouldn't be a Traffic Problem

Lecture here and lecture there. My ears are almost full of the lectures I hear everywhere. I don't have any paper and pen to write everything I hear. I don't think that I need them though. Honestly, I have memorized them already. They are like broken records that keep on playing until somebody will do something to make them stop.

You might be thinking that I'm talking about the lectures in school. Well, no. I'm talking about the lectures from my dad and auntie at home about the increasing of the gas prices in the world market (even if the gasoline companies are declaring rollbacks now). They always do this to me, most especially when I ask permission if I could have an extra trip. They would tell me a lot of reasons why I should avoid the extra trips. Ang dami nilang sinasabi tapos, papayag din pala sila. I find them funny too because they look cute while they are giving me the lectures. HAHA.

I don't blame my dad and my auntie because even I, myself, am aware of the endless price increase of our basic and luxury needs, such as food and clothing. The drastic change and increase of the prices are really surprising. Like what my dad jokingly said, "Lahat ng presyo tumataas, unano lang ang hindi". (okay, sige, tumawa nalang kayo) HAHAHA.

Oh well, at least, we are learning how to save our money, right? v(",)v

So I'm wondering. If cars were like airplanes, then there wouldn't be a traffic problem. At kapag walang traffic, hindi tataas ang presyo ng gasolina. Everybody will live happily ever after!HAHA. So much for my wild imagination. v(",)v

The end.

*Soup mode ako ngayon, I'm sorry. Special credits to my ENGLRES paper. So I'm going back to it na. Good luck to me. v(",)v*

Are You Conyo? (Second of Two Chapters)

I have read some feedbacks regarding this article. Some don't like it while some find it funny too. And what's more surprising, it is spreading all over the town. Even the students from the other schools are posting it in their blogs. So, I am wondering. Is it really controversial? (O_o)

So as promised, I present to you the second half of the the Ten Conyomandments.

6. Make gawa the plural of pangngalans like in English or Spanish.

ex. "I have so many tigyawats, oh!"

7. Like, when you can make kaya, always use like. Like, I know right?

ex. "Like, it's so init naman!"

"Yah! The aircon, it's, like sira!"

8. Make yourself feel so galing by translating the last word of your sentence, you know, your pangungusap?

ex. "Kakainis naman in the LRT! How plenty tao, you know, people?"

"It's so tight nga there, eh, you know, masikip?"

9. Make gamit of plenty abbreviations, you know, daglat?"

ex. "Like, OMG! It's like traffic sa LRT"

"I know right? It's so kaka!"

"Kaka?"

"Kakaasar!"

10. Make gamit the pinakamaarte voice and pronunciation you have para full effect!

ex. "I'm, like, making aral at the Arrhneo!"
"Me naman, I'm from Lazzahl!"

Thank you for reading! v(",)v

Are You Conyo? (First of Two Chapters)

Last Friday, I got a copy of the latest issue of The La Sallian, the English newspaper in the university. After finishing cutting and drawing our paper dolls for our FSTUDY bulletin display making, I began to read the Menagerie (feature) section of the newspaper. I had a fun time reading it because it was really entertaining and creative. One of the articles that caught my attention was the Ten Conyomandments. It was super funny! v('',)v

Since everybody has been posting this article in Multilpy and Friendster, I would also do what they're doing. So please, sit back and relax as I share with you the first half of the Ten Conyomandments by Gerry Avelino and Arik Abu here in Blogger. By the way, I'll post the second half in my next entry. Suspense much? V('',)v Enjoy!

Ten Conyomandments
by Gerry Avelino and Arik Abu
(taken from TLS- Menagerie)

Conyo here, conyo there, conyo everywhere! Here at La Salle, conyospeak has become an unofficial language as a good chunk of the student body knows, or maybe even mastered the socialite tongue. However, one must never forget the basics of the conyo and we thusly bring you: The Ten Conyomandments.

1.
Thou shall make gamit "make+pandiwa".

ex. "Let's make pasok na to our class!"
"Wait lang! I'm making kain pa!"
"Come on na, we can't make hintay anymore! It's in Andrew pa, you know?"

2.
Thou shall make kalat "noh", "diba" and "eh" in your pangungusap.

ex. "I don't like to make lakad in the baha nga, no? Eh diba it's like, so eew, diba?"
"What ba: stop nga being maarte noh?"
"Eh as if you want naman also, diba?"

3.
When making describe a whatever, always say "It's SO pang-uri!"

ex. "It's so malaki, you know, and so mainit!"
"I know right? So sarap nga, eh!"
"You're making me inggit naman.. I'll make bili nga my own burger."

4.
When you are lalaki, make parang punctuation "dude", 'tsong" or "pare"

ex. "Dude, ENGANAL is so hirap, pare."
"I know, tsong, I got bagsak nga in quiz one, eh"

5.
Thou shall know you know? I know right!

ex. "My bag is so bigat today, you know"
"I know, right! We have to make dala pa kasi the jumbo Physics book eh!"

To be continued...

One Step at a Time

It's already past one o'clock in the morning and past my bedtime too (hello eyebags!). Fortunately, there are no classes today because it's Ninoy Aquino Day. Though we have no classes, I still feel that I'm in school, except that I'm at home, (okay, whaaat?) doing school works. Well, I hope you get what I mean, and forgive me if I'm a little bit soup-minded again. HAHA. Anyway, it's okay because only one more week to go and it's already our term break! Yay! But before that, my blockmates and I have to pass through the hole of the needle first. v(^_~)v Oh well...

By the way, I'm not yet finished with Twilight. I've been reading it for almost a month! I started reading it again last Saturday but I ended up doing our school works. Oh well, I just realized that Edward and Bella can wait, so there's nothing to lose. Nahihiya na ako kay Mela kasi ang tagal na ng book niya sa akin. ('_')

On the other hand, I'm not a superhero who can do everything at the same time. I can multi-task but I can't do everything. I'm doing my stuff slowly, one step at a time.

Wish me luck! v(",)v

So much random stuff in here. Sweet dreams! This is Dana, signing off.

Finally

I met up with my bestfriend, Maggie, yesterday after my class and then we went to Sherwood in Taft Avenue to eat. On our way to Sherwood, there was a street child who was begging for money. Since we didn't have anything to give to him, he chased after us. Of course, we ran as fast as we could and went beside the police man standing at the corner of Tropical Hut to frighten him (he was not frightened). When we crossed the street, good thing, he didn't follow us. v(",)v We were scared though. He was scary even if he's still a child. So when we arrived in Sherwood, I finally got the chance to taste My Bestfriend's Pudding at Cerealicious after one year. Instead of ordering the regular blockbuster, I ordered the regular trailer because I felt that I might not finish it. My Bestfriend's Pudding consists of Honey Stars, peaches, and strawberry ice cream. I really enjoyed it! When I finished my food, I realized that I should have ordered the regular blockbuster. HAHA. Nabitin kasi ako sa food. HAHA. v(",)v

And speaking of "finally", after three weeks, I had the chance to talk to my bestfriend. We really maximized the three hours we had. We shared a lot of stories and laughed like there's no tomorrow, as usual. I had a great time yesterday before going home in Laguna. Maggie and My Bestfriend's Pudding made my day! v(",)v

Before I end this, I would like to share with you what I just realized:

Don't let anybody look down on you. You are beautiful inside and out. Always remember that.

Have a nice day everyone! v(",)v

Hopefully, It won't be the First and the Last

Yesterday, I went to the 20th Annual Academic Recognition Day in DLSU with my dad. The day before that, I was thinking of not attending the event. However, I changed my mind because I realized that I wanted to see how the school holds a recognition day. So it was kind of formal because it started with a prayer then followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Two respectable people spoke infront of the crowd and they expressed their congratulations to us, the students, for being in the list for three consecutive terms of the previous school year. At that moment, I felt thankful and happy because God gave me this wonderful opportunity. So when I went up the stage to receive the certificate, I felt like I'm floating on top of the clouds. HAHA.

Three more weeks to go and the first term of this school year will come to an end. Like what I've been telling you for the past weeks, I'm not really happy with my performance in school recently. On the brighter side, the event yesterday became my inspiration to study harder.

Oh well, hopefully, it won't be my first and last recognition day. v(",)v

*I would like to share with you the picture Icca and I took yesterday after receiving our certificates. Can't you see the the joy and happiness on our faces? Nice picture! v(",)v*

Pieces of Good News

I want to start the first day of August with pieces of good news. Unlike my previous posts, there would be no complains or bittersweet sentiments in here. v(",)v So are you ready for the pieces of good news? v(",)v

I would like to congratulate my fellow Humblebee, Ayeen, because her article, "Heaven Not for Gays?
" was chosen and got published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer's Youngblood. She is really a good writer and she deserves this kind of special break. I'm proud of you Ayeen, and you inspire me! v(",)v

Since I already brought up the word "inspire", I guess I'm inspired because I passed the ECEDLAN and FILKOMU midterm exam. Yay! Though, there are still a lot to improve. I'm not expecting that I'll be in the list this term, but I'm still hoping for the best. Just let God's hands do the work, and everything will be okay. v(",)v

By the way, I started reading Twilight again because we have less homework to do. I'm actually falling for Edward Cullen, oh no! Haha. Well, you can't blame me because he's worth it, you know. HAHA. *sigh* If you don't know him yet, try typing down his name in the search box of Yahoo or Google. v(",)v

"I promise to love you forever--- every single day of forever."

- Edward Cullen

*Kilig Mode--- HAHA. Yeah, I know that's cheesy. But who wouldn't love to hear that line? Most especially when it comes from the one they love? Yikee.*

Good night everyone! Dream happy dreams! And thank you for visiting my blog! v(",)v
